The recipe for Nastoyanka has been known in our family for a long time and has its roots in the Kalens’ke village, in Zhytomyr. We use bee “pidmore” for preparing the bee infused Nastoyanka. Our family has been making bee infused Nastoyanka for more than 100 years.
Historically, beekeeping was developed in the region, as evidenced by the archive records dated back to the XVI century. The first mention of the village is connected with the trial of honey theft.
Bee pidmore are bodies of bees, whose life ended naturally.
A bee’s body contain almost all components of honey, such as pollen, royal jelly, propolis, beeswax, amino acids, minerals, vitamins, ferments that have beneficial health properties.
Nastoyanka has a soft taste, an herbal note and light aroma of honey.
Goes well with meat and game dishes. The best accompaniment to hunting.
